wow , that's a really interesting name. does it mean anything ?
'Leighton was my great grandmothers name. She was the person who started our family business. She got my grandmother into singing, and she got my mom into singing. It just continued down the road.'
hmm , awesome . are there other names that you preferred to be called by ?
'Leighton and thats it. Only my closest friends call me Leigh. /blockquote][/i][/font][/size][/color]he corners of Violet's lips turned upwards as they entered the famous coffee shop. Violet simply flipped her brunette hair over her shoulder and gave a smug glance at the people who were starring at her and Chuck. Violet lifted her left hand to let her promise ring that Charles had given her, shine in the store's lighting. It twinkled and her smug expression turned even more smug. Violet shifted closer to Charles as the two began to walk towards the counter, all eyes on them. She felt a shiver run down her body as Charles kissed her forehead, sparks again. They never went away, not that Violet actually wanted them to. "I Love You too" Violet returned and then smiled as there lips crashed. She pouted innocently as he pulled away.

I am a determined, independent young lady who know she going to have a brilliant future. I am a very positive person who always sees the brighter side of the situation. I don't really enjoy being around negative people because they bring down my happy spirit. I am also very outgoing, making new friends is a hobby for me. Its something i absolutely love doing and can't stop. At an audition or at the grocery store, i'm bond to meet someone who shares the same interests as me. I'm also very environmental friendly. I always recycle when i can and volunteer alot. Another thing that i am absolutely passionate about is Animals. I am an animal lover, if i wasn't a musician, i would probably be something that has to do with animals. Like a veterinarian or marine biologist. I also am someone who is pretty easy to get along with. I love children and I am someone who anyone can come to with any problems. I'm very trustworthy and people know that. Anything that doesn't need to be known, isn't known with me.

is there anything about your personality that you don't like ?'I have a few personality traits that i could definitely live without. First, i am a blunt person. If I don't like something, I say it. Its a very negative characteristic and i absolutely despise it. I've lost friends because of it, Its something I am determined to work on. Voicing my opinion can be a negative or positive trait, but i tend to use it in a negative way. Second, I really dislike this about me, I'm a sore loser and very competitive. I tend to be upset when i lose a game or don't achieve a goal. It's something that gets in the way of my determination sometimes. I've always been a good child, except in gym. Oh boy, i had a potty mouth when i didn't win. I remember getting sent to the principal's office because I would yell at students or teachers. That was a rough time in my life. But, I like people to see past my negative characteristics and seek the good ones. '

I don't like to talk about my past much. I was born to Sean and Samantha Manning and i have a sister. My mom is Russian and my Dad is Italian. I did some pretty terrible stuff as a child. I was a umm, really rebellious kid, luckily that part of me is gone. I used to have some temper issues and thats why my parents got me into karate when i was 5. It really helped me..but not to much. When i was seven i got expelled for beating up some guy who took away my friends barbie doll. It wasn't my fault, but my dad seemed to think it was. I remember one day, he came back from work and he was just totally smashed, he started to do some really weird things. I didn't understand because i was just a child. Anyways, he came home and went to his room, and the nanny left because my mom was on a business trip. My sister brought me to be but i couldn't get to sleep, i kept on hearing really strange noises. Weird noises i couldn't understand. Grunting, things shaking and crashing. I went to my parent's bedroom and i saw my Dad abusing my sister. I yelled for him to stop, but he didn't. He started calling me names, alot of names that i never heard before. I was really scared. I couldn't understand why he was doing it, i thought he loved me.
But, i guess i was wrong. I tried to fight him, but being only 7 didn't help much. He took me down...and started doing things. He kicked my sister out..literally kicked her out and started to abuse me. He would yell at me and call me things whenever i wanted him to stop. I pleaded for him to stop, but it never worked. I always thought i was a good kid, my temper got better and i didn't cause as much trouble, i was a sweet kid. As time went on the abuse continued, i got older and eventually understood what he was doing to me. I didn't like it at all. So, i told my mom and she talked to him but the man denied it. He said i was lying and later that night i got a beating, only a few bruises on my arm...nothing too noticeable. My dad was literally a sick sadistic man. By the time i was 10 i complained to my mom. I just couldn't stand it any more, the beatings and sexual and emotional harassment were making me emotionally and physically weak. I couldn't stand it. I showed my mom the bruises he gave me, and she started crying. I hated seeing her break down. My mother kicked him out after that, and I never saw him again. By the time i was in 7th grade, I got really involved in environmental activities. Fund raisers, carnivals, protests, exc, exc. I just got a love for animals, by the time i got to 8th grade i was a vegetarian. I couldn't stand animal abusers. It made me sick when i would see such crazy things go down in the world. I knew i wanted to be something that helped animals. When i was fifteen i got signed to Fearless Studios, it was the best thing that ever happened to me and three years later, I am still here and going strong.

wow , interesting . now , who makes up your family ?'Samantha and Sean Manning. My dad was a lawyer and my Mom was in the music business like me. She used to sing me to bed all the time, but it was kind of mad that i didn't get to see her much of a child, with her being on the road alot. I have a sister named Bailey-Ann, and shes my rock, shes literally a beautiful inspiration in my life. Shes only 18, but definitely one of my best friends.
nice family you got . now , how did you get into the hollywood business ?'Well, being the animal-loving person that i am, when i was fifteen i went to a charity event that was meant to raise money for abused animals. They had a stage and people would go up and sing. I was sorta nervous, but i was happy to finally express myself threw song. So, i got up and started singing. After the show a man approached me and asked if i was interested in a recording contract. After that, things seemed to fall exactly into place. '
you must love your job , right ? i would love to do what you do . what interests you the most about it though?'The best thing about my career is probably doing the one thing that i absolutely love and sharing my love for music with the world. Its the best feeling to go on a stage and see thousands of people cheering you on. I love being an inspiration or young artists or young children who want to make it big one day. The fans are pretty awesome. I get recognized everywhere, and its fun when they ask for autographs. Another thing is, when i sing in front of fan they all seem to know ALL the words to my songs. Its amazing.'
but it can't be that easy . there must be a few things that you hate about being famous ?'The pros out number the cons but the number one thing that really ticks me off about the media business is the gossip that seems to flow. I grab a coffee with a friend who's a man, and rumors float around that I'm dating him. Its very frustrating. Also, being followed really scares me. Especially if they are taking pictures because i know it will end up in some famous magazine with a weird picture of me sneezing or making a funny face.''
interesting . do you look up to anyone for advice or anything ?'My mother was always a huge role model in my life. Although I suppose she could have been home more often to be with her kids, she was great inspiration. I remember one time I went to see her in concert and she actually brought my onto the stage and we got to sing one of her songs together. It was an experience I will never forget.'
aw , that's nice. now, list some things you enjoy doing on your spare time, if you have any .'Dancing, singing, goofing around and being with friends are just some of things i love to do. Karate is one of my bigger interests because i have been doing it for years now. I'm a black belt. I'm not very big on partying, but i tend to do it rarely. Its fun to be with friends and to go shopping, but i'm more of a stay at home person. I love watching horror films.'
there must be some things that you hate as well , right?'Disrespectful people definitely have there effect on me. I can't stand people who can't show some respect, its annoying and frustrating. I also hate spiders, they scare me to death. Rumors are another thing that I've learned to hate. Ever since i started in this business, it was chaotic. I was the new meat and everybody seemed to know about my past. Especially the tabloids. '
awkward question coming up , heh . how's your sex life ?'Its very good. I have a wonderful boyfriend, and we have a child together. My little boys name is Cameron and is completely adorable, i love him and my boyfriend to death. '
so you're not a virgin?'Thats correct. I lost my virginity to a man i was deeply in love with, aka my current boyfriend.
now, are you in a relationship with anyone?'Yes, I have a awesome boyfriend..'

Minutes later, Violet found herself lounging on the area with all the couches, her head on Chuck's chest. She smiled and sipped her hot chocolate cautiously, not wanting to burn her tongue. Violet looked up as Chuck began to speak again, and she was quite surprised by his question. Violet straightened out and crossed her legs on the couch, facing Chuck. "N-Next year?" she stuttered out the words and nibbled at her Styrofoam cup. The heat from the hot chocolate felt good against her cold porcelain skin. Violet let his question process in her mind. Yes, they were both going to Pavlova next year. Finally, Violet was going to pursue her life long dream of being a professional ballet dancer. But, she didn't really know what to expect from the future, it was all about the present for her. Not about the past. Definitely, not the past.
The soon-to-be-eighteen year old had everything she could possibly imagine to make her life perfect. The perfect friends, the perfect grades, the perfect boy, and the most amazing talents she had to offer. She didn't want anything to change, and that's why she wasn't looking forward to the future. It meant change, alot of it. University, more homework, seeing her family once more, but what about her friends? Her friends she has been with since elementary school? Plus, she didn't want to abandon her social status and give it to a pathetic junior or sophomore, she loved being who she was. She didn't want it to change. "Yeah, i think about it", not that i want to she followed the thought after she told Charles she was "thinking" about the future. The truth was, she wasn't thinking about it. Not at all.
Violet took another sip of the hot chocolate, letting the hot liquid burn in her throat and warm her insides gleefully. "I mean, I don't really know what to expect from it. I'm kinda scared, actually" she admitted and met his eyes for a brief minute, before returning to nibbling on the paper cup again. She wasn't scared of the future, she was terrified.
