hey there ! i'm sophie bryan , secretary at FEARLESS studios. we're just gonna do a small interview to get to know you, mmkay ?
'um, yeah guess so but I reserve the right to not answer!'
okay , so , please state your name before we start anything .
'annie caroline trace'.
wow , that's a really interesting name. does it mean anything ?
'well my mums mum was called Anastasia and my mum wanted to honour her mum and such but my dad didn’t like the name Anastasia so they choose Annie because it was kind of close. I am glad they didn’t choose Anastasia because its kinda prissy and annoying. My middle name well that is my mums name, simple as. My mum was never a huge fan of it but my dad loved it, he wanted to give it to me or riley as a first name but my mum thought that would be weird so I got it as a middle name. If you look at my names and Riley’s names you wouldn’t think we were from completely different parents. I mean my names are pretty girly names and Riley’s are boys names as she often reminds us. I don’t mind the name Annie, its annoying for nicknames and seems a bit old fashioned but you get used to it'
hmm , awesome . are there other names that you preferred to be called by ?
'well there aren’t any good nicknames for annie so usually people just call me annie. Umm, some people call me trace but I think its weird. I hate ann so please don’t call me that, so nope its just annie.'
okay then, ANNIE. before we start , i just want you to know that everything here is confidential , so don't be afraid to share things with me. now, describe yourself for me.
'ahh I can’t describe myself. Well I am relatively loud and I live for my friends and Riles. If anyone does anything to hurt the people I love I will not be responsible for my actions. I would say I am relatively nice but hey you never know I could actually be a complete bitch. I am not much of a rule-breaker, I have drunk a couple of times underage but I don’t do it very often because of the whole Riles’ boyfriend thing. I am not a party-pooper though I do love to have a good time. I am incredibly talkative and generally drive people crazy because I just don’t shut up but I don’t know why I am telling you this because you have obviously realised that by now. Now that I can drink legally I love to party and such with my best friend and my boyfriend. I live life one day at a time. Acting is my passion and I am so happy that I am actually going somewhere with it.'
is there anything about your personality that you don't like ?
'um, sometimes I can be a bit of a pushover and that’s a little frustrating because I know its happening but I can’t stop it. I fall too easily for guys, I mean walker has me wrapped around his little finger, I would do anything for him.'
you don't sound that bad , haha . now, do you mind telling me things about your past ? i'm curious .
'I was born in LA, simple as that really. I have been here all my life and I love it to pieces. When we were growing up it was really surreal because I would go out to the local store or something and bump into a celebrity. It was amazing but you had to learn to act all calm and collected otherwise they just thought you were weird. When I was 7 I met my favourite singer at the time and I grabbed onto her leg and couldn’t let go until she gave me a signature and a photo with her. Of course when Riles and I decided to get into the celebrity world it was so much easier already being in LA. As they say its not what you know but who you know and Riley and I realised that straight away. Now being stuck in the drama of Hollywood LA has lost part of its charm but I still love it and wouldn’t have wanted to have grown up anywhere else.'
wow , interesting . now , who makes up your family ?
' ooh parents, I hope you didn’t ask Riles this question bet she went off on one. Well my mum? She isn’t really much of a mum to be honest. She is a fashion designer and loves it so much, when I was little I loved it, my mum would always dress me up in clothes she had made especially for me, I felt like her little princess but that didn’t last long. She left when I was eight because she had to go work in Paris. She just upped and left for her fashions, apparently they came before her two little daughters. Then we were left with just our dad. Riles and I loved our dad with all our heart. He was perfect when we were growing up. He knew how to play the good cop bad cop just right so you could never hate him. He was the exact opposite of our mum. He cared for us so much and looked after us like princesses. In fact that was what he called us, his little princesses. He us a lawyer so he often had to work when all he wanted to do was play with us but his clients were rich and he brought in the money for us to have the toys we wanted and go to a good school . I have one sibling Riles. Oh sorry you want her full name, its Riley Duncan Trace. No really I love Riles to bits. Growing up with our mum in love with her work and dad being busy a lot of the time it was just us. I love Riles and I am pretty sure this whole Hollywood experience can’t pull us apart. I looked after Riles a lot when she was little and even now. She loves being in the limelight as Annie’s baby sister.'
nice family you got . now , how did you get into the hollywood business ?
'well, growing up I always loved acting, being able to become someone else, taking on someone elses feelings, emotions and histories, it was so exciting. It gave me a chance to escape my own life and take on someone elses. It also helped me get out of a lot of sticky situations because I could act. I wanted to be on broadway but I was pretty sure it would never happen. I was doing a show in LA when someone from Fearless spotted me. I was just 18 at the time and it was amazing. They offered to fund my college education if I worked for them so of course I accepted. I studied acting and such while I was on set and even did a minor directing course just in cause acting turned out to be the wrong thing for me.'
you must love your job , right ? i would love to do what you do . what interests you the most about it though?
'well, as I said earlier its just the rush from acting. Being able to escape and take on a whole new person. Lighting up audience’s faces and persuading them you are Liliana Bartuch or whatever you are trying to be. Of course the money is a good thing but that isn’t why I love acting so much. When you can get an audience to want to know what is happening to your character, to actually care over what their fate is, that is when there is magic. Just being on stage is the greatest feeling ever, I think Billy Elliot summed it up best, it is like electricity.'
but it can't be that easy . there must be a few things that you hate about being famous ?
'well the obvious one is the press attention. When you jut want to go to the store to get some more gum and you have thousands of light bulbs in your face it is rather frustrating. I can’t just pop to the shop without any makeup on, I have to look perfect every time I leave the house. I don’t mind the gorgeous little children who want an autograph or what not but sometimes it can get a bit much. Last year I had a stalker, it was the scariest 2 months of my life. They found out where I lived and followed me to work and such. I was so scared I had to get WALKER to come and stay at my house, it was terrifying.'
interesting . do you look up to anyone for advice or anything ?
'I have two role models. One is my dad, he is just amazing. He brought up Riles and I single-handedly and I would be such a mess without him. He is always there when I need to talk and he does such a good job with extinguishing rumours and saving me from the press. I am his little girl and he will always be the best dad I could ever have. My other role model is Audrey Hepburn. Obviously I have never met her and she doesn’t give me advice or anything but she was such an amazing actress. I loved breakfast at tiffanys and have watched it probably 24 times or more.'
aw , that's nice. now, list some things you enjoy doing on your spare time, if you have any .
'in my free time? Well obviously I am an actress but you could find that out my googling my name so I assume you want more. I adore acting with all my heart and it is my one true passion but I have some hidden hobbies. I dance, not many people know that so you should feel privileged! I would not say I am an amazing dancer but I have been dancing since I started my first ballet class when I was 5 so that’s 11 years or so. Dancing is an amazing feeling, you just put on a song and it kind of takes over you. Obviously growing up with Riles I spent a lot of time singing with her and found that singing was fun. Sadly I didn’t inherit the singing ability that Riles has so my singing hasn’t gotten through the walls of our house but it is fun nonetheless.'
there must be some things that you hate as well , right?
'You want the things I hate? Snowboarding simply put. Our dad used to take us on a skiing holiday every year and I loved it so much it was amazing. Riles and I got to spend time with our dad and that feeling when you zip down the hill is amazing. One year though dad felt like it would be a good idea to take us snowboarding instead. I didn’t like the fact that my feet couldn’t move independently and I ended up tumbling head first down the slope. I broke my right arm and so vow never to snowboard every again. Another thing I hate is thunder. I love the way lightening lights up the sky but I don’t think it needs its noisy counterpart; it would be just as successful without it. Its scary, when I was little I used to curl into a ball under my bed whenever there was thunder, I know it’s a stupid fear but its there nonetheless.'
awkward question coming up , heh . how's your sex life ?
'yeah that is a pretty awarkward question but its going fine. WALKER and I are still together. He is amazing, in more ways than one! So my sex life is pretty fine thankyou!'
so you're not a virgin?
'well aren’t you a smart cookie. No, I’m not a virgin. I havn’t been a virgin since I was 15 and had sex with my then boyfriend who was a senior.'
now, are you in a relationship with anyone?
'well you probably know that I am dating WALKER but the whole world seems to know that. I love him so much that sometimes it actually hurts. We have broken up a few times but we always get back together. But seriously I love him so much, he is perfect.'
that's basically our interview, thanks ANNIE. but before you leave, is there anything else we should know?
'oh, I hoped you would run out of time before this question which I why I rambled on above. Ok, so at my old music school there was this teacher that was young, like 25 or something and we kind of had a relationship that was less than ethical. I was 15 and as I said he was my teacher so it was kind of against the law. It has to stay a secret though because otherwise he could get fired and I would be in major trouble.'
oh wow , that's one for the books. just kidding ANNIE . we won't tell, promise. thanks for sitting down with us, and have fun working on your latest project !
'that I will! Thanks!'

Rochelle giggled as the boy swung her round before putting her down, something he had done too many times to count. She looked up to him with a smile as he spoke, “well I could teach it to you but I have done enough if you want to do something else” she said still full of energy, for some reason dancing never tired her out, running did and basketball the odd times she played but not dancing, she just loved it so much it didn’t seem like exercise. She looked up to him, “but was it ok?” she asked, “it’s the dance for the new play, I finished choreographing it yesterday” she said with a proud smile. Rochelle had spent a lot of time running the routine and making sure it would be good enough for the stage, not she was just hoping to find a guy perfect for the role she had to play opposite. Rochelle looked up to the boy with a slight mischievous glint in her eye. Elle’s plan was to get Josh in the school play, first she wanted to know if he could dance and that would be simple, persuade him to practice with her but if he couldn’t Rochelle still had roles that would work, even if he was just background. Elle loved rehearsals and all the fun they had messing about but she knew it would be ten times as amazing with her best friend there. If he could dance though Elle was hoping for him to man up and go for the main role, at least that gave him the chance to sing and Elle loved that song so much. Elle was an actress but she was scared of which boy she would have to give the main role to, she knew he had to look pretty nice and Elle wasn’t blind, she knew that Josh was one of the cutest guys in the grade. Elle had known Josh since Freshman year and she couldn’t imagine getting through High School without him. He had been her rock, always there for her when she had had a bad day or even when she just needed someone to tell her great news to. He was perfect, he never said something he shouldn’t, he gave advice at just the right times and stayed quiet when she wanted him to. They were a close friendship and anyone could tell that, they had managed to get through High School without ever being turned against each other, that had been the test of their friendship. Of course the whole school had noticed the best friends. It was hard not to, a popular and a drama geek, of course all of the schools female population knew Josh was the hot basketball guy but although the boys sometimes hated to admit it, they knew Rochelle was pretty too. The two had always been best friends, nothing more, nothing less but others disagreed. Josh had struggled to get girlfriends because they thought he was cheating on Rochelle although she told them otherwise. It seemed the whole school could see how perfect the two were for each other, well the whole school except the two best friends. |
