I can't get your smile out of my mind, I think about your eyes all the time;" You're beautiful but you don't even try "--------------- vincent made his way down to the beach. he had told ryleigh to meet him here. it was hard to get to spend a lot of time together, because they both worked so much. but today they both had the day off, so the whole day was theirs to spend however they wish. he did love spending time with her, it made him realize why he loved her so much. when they were together it was just the two of them, acting as themselves. they didn't have to put on a show for anyone, they could just be their true selves. he didn't have to be anything he wasn't in front of her.
he did get sick of being someone he wasn't. it was as if all the time everyone expected some amazing guy, just because he was vince mason. he always felt he let people down. he wasn't some super-fantastic guy. he was just a regular guy. it always seemed like he had to put on a show. he always had to be funny and charming, and a kiss ass. he hated that, so much.
the beach was kind of ryleigh and his 'place'. they first got together their, and it was the place they went whenever they needed to talk. the sound of the calm waves brought back a rush of memories. this was where they got back together after the whole delaney thing. this was the place where they had forgiven each other so many times. they had so many memories here.
he walked along the shore, the wind blowing in his hair, just thinking. he was excited for ryleigh to come. he hadn't seen her in a few days, yet it seemed like a life time. the cold air hit his shirtless chest giving him goosebumps up and down his spine. vince wasn't a patient one, so he paced along the shore waiting for ryleigh. she was his girlfriend, and he couldn't wait to see her.

WELL YOU STOOD THERE WITH ME IN THE DOORWAY MY HANDS SHAKE I'M NOT usually this way, you pull me in and i'm
a little more brave; it's the first kiss, it's flawless ryleigh pranced about her bedroom, as she'd just heard where vince and her would meet. she hadn't seen him in about three days, but that was three days too long for ryleigh. she began to get ready, rushing out of excitement. she walked lightly into her closet and pulled out a t-shirt and jean shorts. she didn't really look at what they were, they were just clothes. she grabbed one of her several swim suits and put it on, not really caring which one it was. she pulled her shirt over her body as well as her shorts, and was relieved not to have to deal with make up because they were going to the beach. she didn't bother bringing anything other than herself. she didn't need her cell phone, because the only person she actually wanted to talk to at this time, she was going to be with. she didn't need a towel because it was a sunny day, and she could easily dry off without one. as for her clothes -- well, they could sit in the sand if she swam.
she skipped down the staircase and into the kitchen, where she grabbed her car keys and mumbled a goodbye to her personal assistant (or, in other words, her babysitter), maddie. she was out of her house and in her car soon after, not bothering with any music because the beach was only a few minutes away from her house. she tapped her fingers on the steering wheel, and the three minute drive felt more like three hours to her. once at the beach, she shut her car door and locked it, stuffing her keys into her front pocket and adjusting her shirt. she heard the familiar clacking of her flip flops against the pavement, and soon it was muffled by the soft, bleached sand beneath her feet. a smile lit up her face when she saw her boyfriend pacing up and down the beach, and she laughed out loud.
she was only vaguely aware that there was a little girl standing about ten feet to her left, frozen it seemed. she was soon at ryleigh's side, and had to force her attention away from her favorite person in the world to a ten year old girl holding out a notepad and a pen. can...can i have you're autograph? the little girl asked in a quiet voice, a smile on her little face. ryleigh laughed a little as she took the paper from her and quickly scribbled her name down, handing it back to her and smiling. the little girl's eyes were wide as she thanked her and turned on her heels, running back to where her mother was sitting in the sun. she laughed silently, instantly bringing her gaze back to vince who was still pacing along the beach, unaware that she'd arrived yet.
the sixteen year old laughed out loud as she approached him. "you always were a little impatient," she said, having to speak a little louder than she normally would. if she hadn't her voice probably would've been drowned out by the crashing of the waves. once close enough, the first thing she did was wrap her arms around his waste in a hug, pressing her cheek against his chest. if there was one place ryleigh would be for eternity, it would have to be in vince's arms, there was no doubt about it. it was strange how there could be so much meaning -- so much emotion -- in such a small gesture. she pulled her cheek from where it rested so she could look up at his face, slightly loosening her grip on him but not letting go completely. if she could, she'd never let go. "i missed you," she breathed, resting her cheek against him again. because she had missed him, and it was relief and so much more that washed over her now that she could be with him.

I can't get your smile out of my mind, I think about your eyes all the time;" You're beautiful but you don't even try "--------------- vincent knew he loved ry. he knew in his mind that he did. he kept telling himself that he did. so why did delaney keep coming into his head. she had turned him down, he was supposed to get over it. but vince wasn't used to rejection. he was used to girls liking him. or at least, he wasn't used to anything. he'd been dating rhyleigh for a year, so he hadn't thought about any other girls at all really. except delaney.
there was just something special about her. maybe it was that she was unatainable. or that he couldn't have her. but he just couldn't get her out of his head. he knew that he loved rhy, that they were meant to be. but he just couldn't stop thinking about her. he felt like he was cheating on ryleigh, just by thinking about delaney.
he smiled immediatly as he saw her. delaney vanished out of his mind. it was ryleigh. his dream girl, or so he told himself. she was perfect in ever way, so why wasn't he fully satisfied? it was like there was a piece missing. but he had no idea what. she was so beautiful, sweet, everything about her was amazing.
his arms wrapped around her as his smile widened. he felt as if he was holding her as tight as he could. his muscular arms wrapped around her small back. her smell lingered into his nose, sweet and so familiar. he had missed her so much, even though it had only been a few days. " I missed you too," he said kissing the top of her forehead.

WELL YOU STOOD THERE WITH ME IN THE DOORWAY MY HANDS SHAKE I'M NOT usually this way, you pull me in and i'm
a little more brave; it's the first kiss, it's flawless an electric current flowed through her body when he kissed her forehead, and she wondered if she should still feel this way even though they'd been dating for a year. she hadn't gotten over those butterflies in her stomach as soon as she'd see him, but it was a good feeling. she expected to get over it at some point, but hadn't yet. it was like she was starting all over every time she saw him. like it was their first date again, at least for her. her body felt like a livewire, still, after his lips pulled away from her forehead. it made her laugh a little and she looked up at him, a smile breaking her pursed lips. she shook her head, still unable to speak at first. "i would think...that i wouldn't still feel this way... every time i see you," she said, exhaling near the end and letting her words fade. she looked down, a little embarrassed as her face turned red, and pulled herself closer to vince.
she felt embarrassed because she still wasn't used to being so open about her feelings. she was used to bottling them up, because guys really weren't what she cared about before vince. before vince, they were just..guys. they held no emotional value to her, whatsoever, and usually, guys would like that. there would be no emotion attatchment to the guy, before or after they'd been together. it was just a hook up. ryleigh knew she wasn't gay or anything, because she liked sex and all that, but she wasn't attracted to guys emotionally. it worried her for a while, but then she met vince and...she wasn't worried anymore. it was still scary for her to be exposed to more than just sex with a guy. she wasn't used to it, well, now she was getting more and more used to it, but it takes a while. probably more than a year, to get completely used to it. it still was certainly not her comfort zone.
but ryleigh loved vince, that's why she acted the way she did. she was stupid, never thinking right, when she was around him. it was like he was a drug or some type of alcohol, the way she's intoxicated when she's around him. she even feels stupid. she always thought girls were so ditzy around guys, that's why she'd always acted confident -- and it worked. but not with vince. because all those girls that were ditzy around guys -- well, most of those girls -- were probably as intoxicated by that boy as ryleigh is by vince. so, you could call her a hypocrite. well, you should call her a hypocrite. she understands better, now that she's felt what those girls have. she'd felt love, she feels it, so she can actually judge now. but she can't see herself and how stupid she can act, how brainless she can seem, when she's around vince. sometimes, though, she can seem normal. though on the inside, her brain is most likely blank. ryleigh inhaled slowly, her cheek pressed up against his chest still. his smell made her head spin, as it always did, but her mind seemed to focus on his heart beating at a normal pace, much to the difference of her own. right now, her's was probably going out of control fast at the moment, because it always did when she was around vince.
